This house lies in a pretty cobbled street in the centre of the town of Agulo, which is also known as “the bonbon of La Gomera”. There are good views of the main street of the surrounding mountains from the terrace.

This house is in the area of La Monteñata, which together with Charco and Las Casas makes up the centre of the town, comprising of two narrow cobbled streets which just allow a car to pass through. Close by there is a small recreational area surrounded by tall eucalyptus trees. An agreeable walk through the centre of the town leads to the square and the Church of San Marcos, which dates back to 1923 and with great historic interest. The most interesting fiesta which is held in this square is in the month of April (San Marcos). This is a fire jumping fiesta. The narrow streets are filled with rows of fires, which are then jumped over by the younger members of the town.

Situated in Agulo and with typical architecture of this small, pretty town. The house dates back 150 years and three generations; from the grandfather until the present owner. The original structure has been maintained in the renovation: one one floor with access directly from the street and the floor and roof the original wood. The interior of the house is bright and spacious. The bedrooms are comfortable and functional with windows facing to the street. The bathroom is small. There is a terrace situated on the other side of the house with views of the mountains that surround Agulo and which has marvellous waterfalls in rainy weather. It is very pleasant to take a stroll along the main street or to drink something in the café next to the house.
